GTO Woodturning

George A. Olsen Jr. began wood turning in 2004. His art was selected in 2008 by the Arkell Museum in Canajoharie, Cooperstown Art National and Regional Shows, and the Wilber Mansion Show in Oneonta. Most wood is purchased from area mills or harvested near his studio. Some work is crafted from reclaimed, historical or legacy wood typically for commissioned pieces. George excels in crafting useful objects with unique perspective. The products can be viewed online, at the Artisans Gallery in Middleburgh, NY and at other selected shops. George also exhibits at regional juried craft shows.
